The internet is basically a place ruled by cat photos of all kinds. If the world wide web had tangible foundations, cat memes and posts would be the material they were made from. It's interesting to ponder the effects of the last few decades on cats' perception of cameras and photographs. Domesticated cats are used to being photographed daily (if not hourly), dressed in attire for shooting, and some of them even manage to snap photos themselves.
What's the next stage for feline photography? Maybe they'll choose their filters and send their friends. Or maybe there'll be a new feature enabling them to take selfies and edit their photos in Lightroom for Instagram. It will make total sense, too: "For years you've been photographing us, it's only natural that we'll develop exhibitionist tendencies".
And what if they start photographing the pawrents, posting the pics with captions like, "just look at his feetsies! Desperately need of a mani-pedi, to be honest; and look at his awwdorable mustache! Hmm, maybe it's time for a shave".
Until cats take over the ability to take photos of us, and before they forbid hoomans from photographing them ("How about some privacy and a decent pay for once?!"), here are some pawsome posts and memes of cute cats, behind and in front of the camera.
