You know how we always say that, one day, we are definitely going to end up on the news because we petted something that we shouldn't have? Well, what happened to this family (who did end up on the news) would have happened to us for sure. They thought that they were just rescuing a normal kitten from the rain, but that was not quite what had happened. What this family rescued was a wild cat - a bobcat to be exact.
You wouldn't know it just by looking at the little kitten. We totally might have gotten confused as well. Heck, even the vet who checked the kitten didn't say anything. It was a strange sound that the kitten made that forced the family to do a double-take. Of course, afterward, they did what we might not have been able to do and gave the rescued "kitten" to a shelter where it could start its rehabilitation process. We would have been tempted to keep it. For sure. What is the worst that could happen, right?
