You learn a lot of things after becoming a cat owner - like how special it is to be chosen by a cat as their "purrson", the subtle signs needed to decode your cat's body language, and just how derpy cats really are (they'll never admit it themselves, but we know the real truth). But the main thing you learn, and this is a big one, is that you live to serve your cat. You may think you're the pawrent, but in reality, you exist to please your fluffy feline and everything you own becomes theirs.
Basically, once a cat enters your house, you become an underling for your feline overlord, and do so happily. You can try and protest, argue, and even engage them in a battle of wills… but you will never purrservere. The sooner you accept this, the easier your life will be. So when they wake you up at 5 AM, yearning for breakfast, just get up and do it, or suffer the consequences. You have been warned.
