Let's take a moment to talk about the clawminality of cats. Clawminality is a gene that all felines are born with, no matter what kind. However, the thing that differs from cat to cat is their use of it. Some cats actively use it to have fun and this can be seen in the purrpousful knocking over of vases or glasses, the climbing of curtains and the nibbling of feet. But for the cats who do not actively use their clawminalioty it still seeps out in their behavior in innocent ways, such as hiding in completely inaccessible places, sharpening claws on the furniture, and inappropriately timed zoomies.
And our rescued feline from this story certainly belongs to the second kind of cat, as he decided to hide from the strangers in his house in the one spot where no one would ever find him. Little did he realize that his hiding spot was the very thing that the strangers came to collect…
