'Nobody wanted him': Kind human adopts 14-year-old cat with no ears who no one wanted after his owner passed, gets blessed with the cuddliest, most affectionate cat in return

As much as we hate it, it is a fact that senior cats get adopted far less often than kittens. Unfair, we know. Senior cats make great pets - some of the best pets. Senior cats are affectionate, and tend to get even more affectionate with age. Senior cats, who get adopted as seniors, know what they have and how to appreciate it better than any kitten could. And yet… people don't adopt them often.

But what happens when a cat who has lived its whole life with one person suddenly… loses that person? That cat does not deserve to sit in a shelter for years, looking for someone new to love them the way they were loved before, waiting from a little cage for their second forever home. Unfair doesn't even begin to cover it. But tragic as it is, it does happen. And all we can do in cases like that… is hope for more people like the one in this story - who not only adopt senior cats but understand how amazing they actually are.
