Some people might think that finding a cat sitter is an easy task, but it's not. You think that cats are easy pets to take care of because they don't need that much on a daily basis, and that might be true, but it doesn't mean that good sitters are easy to find. Because people… the people are the problem. We've heard of everything from cat sitters mistreating cats, acting like the cats are dolls they can play with, to cat sitters going silent suddenly and leaving the cat owners to wonder what's going on, all the way to cat sitters letting cats outside for entire nights without supervision.
This is why it's so important to have cat sitters that you can trust, and one of the best sitters - usually - that you can have… is family. People you would trust to take care of anyone, including your cat - to be nice to them and careful with them, to treat them with the respect they deserve. Writing a cat book about the experience is a step that isn't necessary, really, but it's something we would not complain about for a second.
