23 Silly Snoozy Cats Snoring in Spectacularly Strange Spaces

There's a reason they call it "cat-napping".

It's because cats are the best nappers in the biz. Cats typically sleep between 12 and 20 hours per day, and most of them are during the day because cats are most active during the early morning and early evening. Think of how many naps you need in order to sleep 20 hours per day - we're no meowthmatician, but that's a lot of naps. So when you have to fill such a high nap quota every day, you have to start to get creative. Thus, their ability to sleep quite literally anywhere was born, and if you don't believe us, we have the purrfect proof below.

When we say they can sleep anywhere, you are prrrobably imagining them sleeping in cardboard boxes or on the kitchen table, but oh, our dear, sweet reader… it's so much more than that. We're talking about cats falling asleep, quite literally, on babies, carefully contorted to the grooves of the radiator, and even inside a shoe (or two). Why they chose that purrticular place to fall asleep? We can't tell you. But we can tell you that it's purrfectly normal to find them in these peculiar pawsitions

So, if you happen to stumble upon your cat sleeping with its head where it shouldn't be, don't wake it up, it's probably sleeping more deeply than you ever have. Let them snooze, snore, and sleep, or else they'll terrorize you when it's your turn to say "nighty night"!
