Winter is one of our favorite seasons of the year as cat people. For obvious reasons. Beyond just the daily hot cocoas and the sweaters and warm blankets, winter is the time of year during which our cats thrive the most as well. Our cats become cuddlier, looking for warmth from their humans. Our cats wrap themselves up in blankets in cute little purritos. And we think that they find something quite meowgical in sitting near the window while it's raining outside and looking at the drops splash against the window.
Winter is the best for our cats, as long as they are inside. The second they step foot outside through, it's a whole different story. Snow. They love looking at it, but cats and snow do not get along. It's beautiful, and they can see that, but we think that they forget, every single year, just how cold it actually is. And so they step outside, curious as they are, and instantly regret it, leaving one clear paw print in the snow in their wake.
