The way that people treat animals in general is something to look at, we think, but especially your pets. How they feel about animals doesn't matter. They should care about your pet because you do. If your partner gets jealous of your cat, if your partner mistreats your cat, if your partner doesn't seem to care or put any effort at all into making your pet like them… these are all red flags.
And if the person that you have been dating for three weeks gives you an ultimatum: it's either me or the cats… Well, we think that the choice is quite simple.
