'I had one cat last Thursday. By Friday morning, I had six more': Feline pawrent rushes outside to help stray momma cat giving birth on their porch, saving her and her kittens from raccoons

We've never actually witnessed a live cat birth before. We've seen videos and pictures online, but to be there in purrson must be a completely different experience. All of our cats have been spayed and neutered, so we've never encountered this issue, but there are lots of stray cats out there roaming the streets that haven't had any hooman intervention yet. Sometimes people TNR (trap, neuter, return) them before they start mating, but others are not so lucky. And then there are those rare times when they seek out hooman help for giving birth, and that's exactly what happened below!

After hearing some squeaking on their front porch, a feline pawrent rushed outside to find a momma cat giving birth right outside of their door. They moved her and her freshly-baked kittens to safety to avoid any potential predators. Waking up the next day, the number of cats in their house went from one to six in just a few hours! It's a meowracle that this hooman helped momma, or else, they might not have survived the night. Now the kittens are looking for good homes, and momma might stay with her rescuer. Isn't it just purrfectly sweet?
