Some momma cats just know their kittens are not meant for outdoor life.
That is what we have learned from this hilariously adorable story. We always talk about how important it is, when you find a lonely kitten outside, to look for the mother. You don't know if the mother abandoned the kitten or if she is simply out there, looking for food or for shelter, and this is the secluded little corner where she left the little one to wait for her. Taking a kitten away from its mother is not something that you want to do, because at the end of the day, you would be hurting both of them. So, we tell people to wait for the mother, try to find her, truly try. That's because in most cases, when abandoned kittens are found, it's not entirely obvious whether they needed to be rescued or not in the first place.
That is not true for this story. In today's story, it could not be clearer that the mother knew her baby was not meant to live outside, so she found a human to take care of it for her. Not only did she lead the human to the area where her kitten was hidden, but she then walked the kitten directly to him, dropped it and left. She gave her blessing.
