A hopeful rescue of a terrified tri-colored calico kitten leads New Year's Eve partiers to ring in 2026 with purre feline love instead of fireworks: 'She’s very skinny but all she wants is cuddles'

You may plan to party all night, but when the Cat Distribution System comes knocking, you'll be celebrating kitty style instead.

Ah, New Year's Eve. We haven't "partied" on New Year's in, well, years (because we're actually 84 years old inside), but many people do enjoy a wild night of dancing and drinking on December 31st. While we're home, cozily snuggled up under blankets and in our pajamas, the rest of the world is waiting until midnight and starting off the new year with a bang. The group of people in our post below planned on doing just that, until they found a tiny, terrified calico kitten hiding in their garage.

Once they found the skinny, lovable kitten, they abandoned all party plans and went straight into rescue mode. They currently don't know if the cat is someone else's who escaped or if it's a stray, but their next course of action is to take it to the vet to check for a microchip and look out for any lost pet posters.

Purrsonally, we can't think of a more wholesome way to ring in the new year than with some purre feline love. Who needs to be stuffed like sardines in a can when you can be at home, cuddling with a cat who loves you? We'll keep you updated about this kitten's adoption story, but for now, it seems like they've found home.
