There is nothing worse than a breeder who doesn't care about his cats.
Being a cat breeder is bad enough, using the little things to make money when all they want is to nap all day long and cry for snacks. But, despite the fact that we know it is usually not true, we would like to live under the illusion that these people care about the cats that they have at least somewhat. We wish we weren't constantly reminded otherwise. Adopt, don't shop. That has always been the ICHC motto. Rescue, don't buy. That could be another one. And a third could be: if you know of terrible cat breeders around you, save the cats from them.
That is what the man in this story did, and we could not be more thankful to him. The kitty got sick, who knows how, but the second he did, he was no longer useful to his breeder. No one wanted to buy him because he was sick, and he could not be used anymore in the breeder's sick and twisted ways for the same reason. What to do now? Vet bills are too expensive and simply not worth it, not to people like that. But to people like the man in this story, this kitty was worth every penny.
